The Rev. Barbara Peterson, Interim Priest
The Rev. Barbara Peterson is serving St. John's during the search for a new rector. She is a retired Episcopal Clergyperson who was rector at Trinity in Marshfield and St. Matthew & the Redeemer in South Boston and served as a Deacon in Christ Church, Cambridge.
After graduating from Harvard Divinity School, she worked at MIT in the Alumni/ae Association as Director of Student/Parents Programs. She is originally from Haverford, Pennsylvania and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, prior to moving to Cambridge in 1983.
Barbara is a widow, has one daughter, three grandchildren and lives in East Sandwich with her Maltese, Lobo.

Susan Sharpe - Parish Administrator
Susan is originally from upstate New York and moved to the Cape in 1969. She has been a resident of Mashpee since 1976. She was married by Fr. John Thomas at St. John's, and both of her granddaughters were baptized here as well.
Susan holds a Master's Degree in Education/Special Education and brings broad experience in administration, previously in telecommunications, state government, human resources, travel/transportation/tourism, and hospitality industries. Susan is a retired elementary, and special education teacher, and recently retired from 8 years as a certified retail pharmacy technician. She has two children and three grandchildren.

Misao Koyama - Music Director
Born in Japan with a passion for music, Misao plays all genres of music from classical to Broadway, especially jazz. Misoa brings this passion to St John's as organist, pianist, and choir director, enabling the choir to express their faith through song.
Misao is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston and also is the accompanist for the Barnstable Intermediate School Chorus and the Cape Conservatory. She likes to teach piano privately and currently resides on the Cape with her daughter.

Deborah (Dee McLaughlin - Thrift Store Manager
Dee has lived on the Cape since 1979 and been a member of St. John's since the early 1980's. She lives in Mashpee and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Before retiring in 2015, she was in the food service industry for 35 years.
Six Years ago, she was offered the job of Thrift Shop Manager and took the challenge. Along with 20 plus volunteers they run a beautiful shop. Stop by and say hello.

Alan Carlson - Sexton
Alan was born and raised in Grafton, Massachusetts and retired to Sandwich in 2011. Alan and his wife Mary have been married 40 years and have two children, Krista and Mark, and five grandchildren Aidan, Grace, Olivia, Lukas and Aaron. Alan received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Lowell Technological Institute and remains an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) of which he presently sits on two subcommittees.
Alan retired from Raytheon Company, in 2011, where he had worked for 38 years beginning as a mechanical engineer and ending his career in management. He also enjoys golf, woodworking and his church!
