Become a Member

As a child of God, you are always welcome at St John's, and you will feel that welcome from your very first visit.  At St John's, we welcome all people and affirm our baptismal covenant, in which we promise to "seek and serve Christ in all persons".

Once you have visited St John's and decided you would like to become a member, the process is simple.  If you are already an Episcopalian, but your letter of membership is with another Episcopal parish, all you need to do is contact our parish office and our administrator will then contact your former parish to transfer your membership.

If you are, or once were, a member of another denomination in which you were already baptized, we simply record the date of baptism and you become a “baptized member.”  Should you wish to become a confirmed member, the church provides educational classes once a year leading up to Confirmation with the Bishop who prays and lays hands on you, making you are a member of the Episcopal Church.

If you have never been baptized, we will happily baptize you, or your children of any age - the only requirement is your desire to do so.

Although Baptism and Confirmation are important decisions, the entire process is joyful.  We’ll be with you every step of the way!
